About Us
Imaflora, a non-profit civil organization established in 1995, believes that the best way to conserve tropical forests is to provide them with an economic destination, coupled with good management practices and responsible management of natural resources.
Our work seeks to influence forest and agricultural production chains, collaborate in the elaboration and implementation of public policies and create models of land use and sustainable development. We also work to reduce deforestation and forest degradation by increasing the number of conserved areas and promoting the quality of life of communities living in protected areas.
Imaflora is present in 25 states of Brazil and Argentina, benefiting more than 117,000 people, including forestry and rural workers, and other communities served by our projects. We currently work with more than 1,000 companies in the forestry, agriculture and carbon sectors, totaling over 76 million hectares of land cover in five different biomes: Amazon, Caatinga, Cerrado, Atlantic Forest and Pampas.
These are just some of the transformations we have made, which are only possible thanks to partners and people like you who invest in our cause.
